IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi prov, Sept 5, IRNA -- Navy of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps are closely and seriously watching every move made by the US forces in the Persian Gulf, the IRGC Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Ali Fadavi said Wednesday.
Addressing a local gathering in this holy eastern city, he said that vessels of the IRGC Navy kept on distance patrolling around the US warships present in the Persian Gulf waters.
"US will never leave the Persian Gulf in health, if it makes the mistake of attacking Iran," Fadavi said.
He referred to the US as "the only threat to Iran in the region," noting that no other regional country has ever posed any threat to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As for the Zionist regime, the IRGC Navy commander said, "Without US, Israel is no threat to Iran, it is with the help of the US that Israel can be a threat."
Noting that US was presently in a "passive position in the Persian Gulf," Fadavi said the US forces felt deep concerns about being the subject of any possible military attack.
