IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Aug 28, IRNA -- Iran’s Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ali-Asghar Soltanieh said Iran is committed to all its international commitments including the Non-Proliferation Treaty and will continue to do so.
Talking to reporters here on Tuesday at the sidelines of the foreign ministerial meeting of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit, he said Iran will never step back from its inalienable right to peaceful nuclear energy and uranium enrichment activities because Tehran deems them as its undeniable rights.
Stressing that Iran has never neglected its duties towards international bodies, he said constant inspections have revealed no proofs of deviations in Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.
He said the IAEA inspectors have thoroughly inspected Iran’s nuclear facilities with no problems.
Asked about the recent Iran-IAEA talks and that whether the issue of Parchin site was raised in the talks, Soltanieh said the talks are forwarded in the right path and there have been some agreements though certain differences still exist.
