China biggest purchaser of Iranian crude oil

Beijing, August 22, IRNA -- China is the biggest purchaser of Iranian crude oil, Chinese customs office announced on Wednesday.
According to Chinese Customs office, import of Iranian crude oil in July registered some 454,500 barrels per day.
It means that China has purchased about 41 percent of Iran's crude oil exported to international markets, it said.
The average purchase of China from Iran registered between 500,000 to 630,000 barrels per day.
China imports about 50 percent of its required oil.
After Saudi Arabia and Angola, the Islamic Republic of Iran is the third major exporter of oil to China.
China is opposed to unilateral economic sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran.
Trade between Iran and China stood at dlrs 45 billion last year and it is predicted the figure to hit dlrs 55 billion this year.
