Sanctions not to force Iran to step back from legitimate nuclear rights: Abbasi
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, July 5, IRNA -- Iran would never step back from its legitimate nuclear rights and its right for making peaceful use of nuclear energy as a signatory to the Non-Proliferations Treaty, Head of Iran Atomic Energy Organization Fereydoun Abbasi said Wednesday.
Speaking to IRNA exclusively, the official said: "New sanctions will not affect Iran and its nuclear progress as Iranians have already learned how to go forward regardless of the sanctions during the past three decades."
Abbasi noted that sanctions have helped Iranians to become self-sufficient in various fields of science and technology including using peaceful nuclear energy.
“Enemy should know that killing Iranian scientists and imposing sanctions against Iran cannot impede the Iranian nation’s desire for progress.”
