IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, July 4, IRNA -- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Unit, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said on Wednesday that the IRGC's missiles can hit enemies’ positions like thunders.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an IRGC missile maneuver codenamed "The Great Prophet 7", he said in the war game the Iranian forces successfully test fired all types of missiles which demonstrates the capabilities of Iranian experts.
The war game and the advanced equipment used in it proved that the 33 year-long sanctions against the country have been futile, he said.
One of the main characteristic of the war game was the use of all types of short, middle and long-range missiles which were fired at different positions of mock enemies, he said.
With reliance on the capabilities and potentials of Iranian experts, it is possible to claim that Iran will successfully overcome the sanctions and change these threats into opportunities, he said.
The maneuver demonstrated the country's deterrent powers in confronting the enemies' plots, he said.
During the war game, the Iranian forces successfully test fired Persian Gulf missile which hit the target, said the commander.
"We are determined to defend the country's territorial integrity and Islamic values and under no circumstances will we yield to enemies," he said.
