Commander: IRGC missiles to reciprocate enemy's attacks within minutes

Tehran, July 4, IRNA -- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Division, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said on Wednesday that the IRGC's missiles are ready to reciprocate the enemy's attacks within minutes.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the IRGC missile maneuver named "The Great Prophet 7", he said in the war game the Iranian forces successfully test fired all types of missiles which demonstrates the capabilities of Iranian defense experts.
"The war games and the advanced technology displayed at the maneuver proved that the 33 year-old sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran have been foiled," he said.
"One of the main characteristics of the war games was the use of all types of short, medium and long-range missiles which were fired at different locations to the hypothetical enemies."
He said that with reliance upon Almighty God and capabilities of Iranian experts it is possible to claim that Iran will successfully overcome the sanctions and turn these threats into opportunities very soon.
The maneuver demonstrated the country's deterrent powers in confronting the hostile plots, he said.
During the war games, the Iranian forces successfully test fired the Persian Gulf missile which hit the target, said the commander.
"We are determined to defend our national sovereignty and territorial integrity and Islamic values and will never yield to enemies," he said.
