Nuclear talks in Moscow wrap up its work

Moscow, June 19, IRNA -- Nuclear negotiation between Iran and Group 5+1 in Moscow wrapped up its work after two days of intensive talks to remove disputes and discuss bilateral proposals.

The two sides negotiators in the 2-day talks held four rounds of negotiations and expounded on their viewpoints concerning existing disputes.

On the second day of talks, bilateral meetings were held between Iranian negotiating team and a number of G 5+1 members like China and Russia as well as EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton.

Around 300 reporters and media persons were covering the event.

The Moscow meeting, upon its timetable ended in two days, while close sources to negotiating teams talked about possibility of continuation of negotiation to the third day, because of a high volume of discussion and complicity of technical talks.

On the first day of talks, Monday, the two sides held two rounds of talks which ended at 17:00 hours local time and Assistant Secretary of Iran Supreme National Security Council Ali Baqeri told reporters that Group 5+1 have time until 12:00 hours local time on Tuesday to decide on Tehran proposals.

Meanwhile, Spokesman of EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton, Michael Mann, described the first day talks very difficult and complicated.

At the end of the first day talks, an official in Iranian negotiators team warned western sides that the issue of 20 percent enrichment of uranium will never be on the table.

Iran Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili and EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton are to attend a joint press conference.
