Iranian Diplomat: Iran adopted triple strategy in Moscow talks

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Moscow, June 18, IRNA -- An Iranian diplomat close to the team of nuclear negotiators said on Monday Iran adopted a triple strategy in the first round of Moscow nuclear talks.

He said Western negotiators faced an integrated approach from Iran in the first round of talks.

“The first of these strategies is to criticize G5+1 for one month delay or time killing and not holding the meeting of experts prior to the formal talks to prepare agenda,“ the Diplomat said.

He said Iran will brief the other side that refusal to hold the experts meeting was a big blow to the success of the Moscow talks.

He said the second strategy is to seriously reviewing the topics of G5+1 Proposal which have been raised during latest phone conversation between Ashton and Jalili.

Mrs Ashton has already said that Moscow talks will focus mostly on the Tehran five-points proposal which was put on table in Baghdad.

The Diplomat said Iran has prepared a clear and documented answer based on the Non-Proliferation Treaty and will explain the Western negotiators in details.

He reiterated that Iran will also provide the other side with documents of Tehran five-point proposal as the third strategy of its nuclear talks in Moscow.

He expressed hope G5+1 would seriously act and negotiate on Tehran proposals based on the agreement made in Baghdad talks.
