IAEA enjoys positive attitude towards Iranís nuclear issue, official

Tehran, May 14, IRNA -- Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Hermann Nackaerts here on Monday said his organization seeks a constructive solution to Iran’s nuclear issue.

He made the remark while entering the venue of talks with Iran’s ambassador to the Vienna-based international organizations Ali Asghar Soltanieh, who is leading the Iranian delegation to the two-day meeting.

Nackaerts said he was meeting with the Iranian representative to continue the process of dialogue.

He said his objective was to reach agreements with Iran on remaining issues regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

Nackaerts said that the talks are based on the contents of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The new round of talks between Iran and the IAEA representatives started here today behind closed doors.

Iran and 5+1 (including US, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany) revived negotiations in Istanbul last month.

The next round of Iran-5+1 talks will be held in Baghdad next week.
