Torbat-Heydarieh, Khorassan Razavi prov, May 11, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asked the West to abandon dictatorship, adding that IR of Iran is well informed about western plots against Tehran.

Addressing a provincial gathering here on Friday, the president said that the human beings' problems have been caused by those who ignore the divine issues and are alines with the real essence of humanity.

President Ahmadinejad warned the hegemonic powers to heed the divine laws, warning that otherwise, the world nations would topple them with the help of God.

“Hegemonic powers should abandon supporting the dictatorship regimes and implement the demands of nations; the Iranian nation has a great history and the western powers should care not to snub it in the international community; nobody can prevent the progress of the Iranian nation; oppressive regimes would fall and it is better for them to listen to the people’s demands before their fall by their own nations' hands.”

The Iranian president also gave an address for the people of Zaveh township, another town in Khorasan Razavi province, in which he criticized the continuous crimes committed by the occupying force of that Zionist regime against the Palestinians, adding that the Zionists and their allies are the most irrational peoples of the world because they don’t consider the end of their game which is awakening and uprising of nations.

Pointing to the anti-Iranian plots posed by the West in the past, President Ahmadinejad underlined that Iranian nation is well informed about the western plots against it.

President Ahmadinejad is visiting the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi as part of his fourth round of provincial tours.

He made the initiative to visit the country's provinces when he took office for the first time in 2005.

It shoud be noted that since the beginning of 2011, the Muslim world has witnessed popular uprisings and revolutions similar to what happened in Iran in 1979. Tunisia saw the overthrow of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in a popular revolution in January, which was soon followed by a revolution which toppled Hosni Mubarak in Egypt in February.

Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Yemen have since been the scene of protests against their totalitarian rulers, who have resorted to brutal crackdown on demonstrations to silence their critics.

Bahrain however, has experienced the deadliest clashes. Anti-government protesters have been holding peaceful demonstrations across Bahrain since mid-February, calling for an end to the Al Khalifa dynasty's over-40-year rule.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.

In October, calm was eventually restored in the Arab state after President Bashar al-Assad started a reform initiative in the country, but the US and Zionist regime plots could spark some new unrest in certain parts of the country.
