Small boat's passengers rescued in Persian Gulf waters

Bandar Abbas, Feb 27, IRNA -- Hormuzgan naval rescue team managed to rescue passengers of small boat which was caught in bad weather in the Persian Gulf waters on Sunday.

Deputy Head of Hormuzgan Naval Bureau, Allahmorad Afifipour, told reporters on Sunday that three passengers of a boat who were caught in bad weather in Bandar Abbas anchorage in early hours of Sunday were rescued.

He pointed out that a total of 21 people have been rescued in Persian Gulf waters over past two weeks by Hormuzgan Naval Bureau's rescue team.

According to Afifpour, if it was not due to timely measures taken by the rescue team, the boat would have capsized and the passengers' lives were at risk.
