TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iranian armed forces evaluated all radars as they started the third day of aerial defense maneuver on Tuesday.

All stable and moving radars modernized by Iranian experts were applied in the military drill dubbed Sarallah (the Blood of God).

"Casta" and "Nebo" tactical radars as well as home-built radars of "Kashef" (Discoverer) and "Matlaolfajr" (Dawn) were used in the military maneuver for surveillance purposes and informing the operating units. Initiative plans were used in the drill to detect the hypothetical enemy's modern systems by the radars.

Also on the second day of the "Sarallah" air defense maneuvers, Iranian air defense units successfully identified and repelled a massive airstrike by mock enemy fighter jets.

The four-day war games began on Monday in southern Iran, covering a span of about 190,000 square kilometers.

The exercises are also aimed at increasing the mobility of rapid response forces to engage in asymmetric warfare and improving coordination between air defense units of various forces in order to provide the country with wide air defense coverage.
