Iran armed forces receive new electronic systems

TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iranian Defense Ministry has launched and delivered 21 systems, electronic research projects, optical and communications projects to the armed forces in presence of Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi.
Vahidi stressed nine production lines including advanced Laser guidance systems of one kind of gun, guidance systems of anti-armor missile, laser defense warning system for protection of key areas of the country, three kinds of advanced radars and one class of powerful microwave lamp were among the projects.
The minister added eight other products including thermal cameras, Laser systems, surveillance radars and aerial defense, flotilla systems and electronic communications for surface and subsurface flotillas have been delivered to Iran's armed forces.
Vahidi noted four other important projects in different fields including electronic war, simulations, collecting data and radar have been accomplished and would be produced industrially in the near future.
He pointed out Iran's defense capabilities would increase in this field by manufacturing the products. He stressed exporting the products and transferring know-how on thermal cameras, proximity fuses, radar system and aerial flotilla system and launch of calibration laboratories would be among other measures taken by the electronic industry of Defense Ministry.
Vahidi stressed Iran has made a huge progress in different fields particularly in electronic field after the Islamic Revolution's victory.
