TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari expressed the Navy's readiness to carry out missions in international waters.

He referred to "Velayate 90" maneuver carried out by the navy forces, pointing out the drill has shown Iran's readiness to keep the security of the region alone and that it does not need any help in this regard.

As to presence of Iranian naval warships in the Saudi port city of Jeddah, he added the mission aims to project the Islamic republic's power on the high seas. It shows Iran's dignity.
