TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman rejected claims of the Director of the U.S. National Intelligence James Clapper against the country, saying "illusion of threat" is rooted in "outdated thoughts of cold war."
"The Islamic Republic of Iran abides by principles of the international law and the UN Charter. Performance of the Islamic Revolution over last 3 decades confirms the fact," Mehmanparast said.
"Those who are accused of supporting assassination of Iranian scientists in Tehran cannot accuse the Islamic Republic of Iran of such false claims," he continued.
Clapper has claimed that Iranian officials have changed their way and are more willing to attack the United States in response to real or perceived US actions that threaten their government.
