Supreme Leader: Iran interference in Bahrain is a lie
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 3, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said Bahraini ruler's claim that Iran has interfered in that country's internal affairs is a lie.
He added,'We haven't interfered in Bahrain, but if we had, the situation in that country would have been different.'
Delivering his first Friday Prayers sermon, the ayatollah underlined, 'If we interfere somewhere, we say it clearly. We interfered in anti-Israel moves and the result was victories in '33-day' and '22-day' wars.'
He added, 'Wherever a nation or a group fights against the Zionist regime, we support them and we do not fear to declare it.'
When Bahrain ruler says that Iran has interfered in that country's internal affairs, it is not true.
'If we had interfered in Bahrain, the conditions in that country would be different,' said the Supreme Leader.
