TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said the country would install the nuclear fuel plate at the Tehran Research Reactor within a month.

Salehi told reporters on the sidelines of the 18th African Union (AU) Summit in Addis Ababa that Iran would place the nuclear plate in Tehran reactor within a month, noting enrichment is Iran's legal right and the country would obey NPT regulations in this regard.

Salehi also referred to the visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts for inspection on the county's nuclear facilities, noting Iran's nuclear activities are transparent and that the country has always cooperated with the agency.

He stressed Iran has never aimed to make nuclear weapons and that would provide the IAEA experts with the answers they want.

Salehi also noted Iran tries to maintain the security in Persian Gulf region since it is very important both for Iran and other regional countries, stressing foreign countries should not interfere in regional affairs.

He referred to sanctions on Iran, adding Iran is a powerful country and differs from Iraq and the western countries know it as well.

The Foreign Minister stressed the EU's imposing oil sanctions against Iran is not considered to be a big problem since the country enjoys other buyers.

He turned to Syrian issue and the recent developments inside the country, condemning any foreign interference in Syria said Syrian state and nation should resolve their problems internally.
