IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Jan 15, IRNA -- Supreme Leader’s Bureau Chief Brigadier General Mohammad Shirazi said on Sunday that the western countries have launched a psychological warfare in the region through spread of rumors on displacement of their naval ships.
Speaking to IRNA, he said past experiences show that the foreign forces want to justify their presence in the region through intimidation of regional countries.
It is quite evident that such futile attempts are doomed to failure and both regional nations and foreign troops have reached such a conclusion, he said.
The Iranian military forces are in their best possible status in terms of capability, spirit and authority and can defend the country’s territorial integrity with strength, he said.
Iranian Armed forces have successfully demonstrated their combat readiness by conducting various war games, he said.
The combat readinesses of the Iranian Armed Forces have prevented the enemies from taking any action against the country, he said.
Western media have confirmed that a UK naval vessel is sailing towards the Persian Gulf waters.
