Iran waiting for date, venue of nuclear talks

TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Tuesday the country is waiting for unveiling date and venue of talks with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany by Catherine Ashton.
"Mrs. Catherine Ashton's letter for continuing talks between Iran and P5+1 has already been answered and we are now waiting for unveiling time and venue of negotiations by Mrs. Ashton," Mehmanparast said.
Iranian nuclear negotiating team would then announce its views about the issue, he told reporters in his weekly press conference.
Also regarding time schedule for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspector' visit of Iranian nuclear facilities, he said Iran has invited the agency's delegation to be led by Deputy Director General (Herman Nackaerts) to visit Iranian nuclear installations.
He continued the trip shows Iran's goodwill on peaceful nuclear technology and, "We hope we could witness presence of the team in Iran."
A group of the agency's inspectors has visited Iranian nuclear site a head of the Board of Governors (BoG) meeting following an official invitation by Iran.
Mehmanparast said the IAEA officials should make use of the opportunity, heed to the agency's sensitive position and put nuclear disarmament on the agenda.
Iran is under four rounds of the UN Security Council sanctions over its refusal to halt enrichment activities.
Iran resists that it has the right to use peaceful nuclear technology as a member of Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
The Iranian official also said the country has not received any official message concerning to the trip of Head of Al-Iraqiya List Iyad Allawi's relative to Iran.
