TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran called violation of its air space by the U.S. drone "evident instance of breach of all international rules and regulations."
In a letter to the UN Security Council President Vitaly Churkin, General Assembly President Nassir Abdulaziz al-Nasser and the UN Chief Ban Ki-moon, Iran referred to the U.S. aggressive actions including the aggression of a U.S. spy drone against Iran’s soil and called for implementation of the UN Charter and effective confrontation against aggressive actions against its soil.
The letter read, “Unfortunately the U.S. administration has increased its secret operations and provocative actions against Iran over the past months in a way that its spy drone named RQ170 violated Iran's air space, but it faced Iranian armed forces’ mighty and on time action.”
Iranian government referring to its previous letters to the UN Security Council about the US actions, stressed such hostile actions are against the international peace and security.
Iran warned over continuation of such actions and said the US would be responsible for destructive effects of such actions on regional peace and security.
Iran has stressed the necessity of condemning such aggressive actions by the UN Security Council, taking effective measures and informing the members of the results for compensation and stopping such dangerous procedure and maintaining regional peace and security based on the UN Charter.
