Tehran, Dec 10, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Saturday that recent developments in ties between Tehran and London will leave no impacts of talks with G5+1 on the country’s peaceful nuclear activities.
Speaking with IRNA, the spokesman said there is no change in the process of talks with G5+1.
“If we reach the conclusion that political relations have been completely cut off, there should be new decision to continue or revise talks,” he said.
The British foreign secretary and foreign ministry spokesman have declared that they are not seeking to cut off political relations with Iran but they should explain the reason behind expelling Iranian diplomats, he said.
According to Majlis ratification, British ambassador was given two weeks to leave Iran, he said.
Since Britain has declared that it does not intend to fully cut off political relations with Iran therefore according to diplomatic norms there is no need for talks about designation of interest sections at this juncture, he said.
Since relations between the two countries have not been completely cut off, it should be made clear under what terms and conditions such relations should continue, he said.
