TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad signed into law the bill for downgrading ties with the UK.
The bill has been already approved in Parliament and was approved by Iranian Guardian Council following imposition of fresh round of sanction against Iran by the European country.
Based on the law, Iranian Foreign Ministry is obliged to downgrade diplomatic relations with the UK to the level of Charge d'Affaires within two weeks in line with securing national interest and protecting Iranian nation's rights.
The law gives authority to the Foreign Ministry to upgrade diplomatic relations in case of shift in the UK hostile politics.
