Western, EU governments take another anti-Iran step

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, Dec 1, IRNA -- The western and European governments took another step on Thursday in a series of anti-Iran approach in contradiction with international law and violating Iranian national security.

Foreign ministers of European Union member states listed 180 Iranian real and legal entities for sanctions in line with the US’ anti-Iran policy and the Zionist lobby.

European Union had earlier imposed sanctions on the Iranian institutes involved in the energy, gas, banking and insurance sectors but they failed.

IRNA quoted some western sources as saying that since the sanctions already in place have proved ineffective, in a similar action, ministers of 27 EU members in a meeting in Strasbourg Thursday imposed sanctions on the other 180 Iranian figures.

Listing names of scientists and the businessmen of a nation is tantamount to violating national security and the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to take legal action with the International Court of Justice in The Hague against the western governments.

Singling out Iranian scientists has been proved to be part of concerted action with the terrorist groups grown up in the United States and Europe to assassinate them and accounted for state terrorism by the western governments.

Iranian security officials have highlighted the western governments action with the United Nations Security council and the European Union to signle out Iranian scientists and the terrorist operations afterwards to assassinate them.
