Deputy IRGC Chief: Iran ready for comprehensive encountering with enemies' threats

Qom, Nov 22, IRNA -- Deputy Commander of IRGC said here Monday Iranian armed forces are ready for comprehensive defense of Islamic Revolution, national interests, and country's interests and countering the enemies' entire threats, including military invasion.
According to IRNA, Islamic Republic Guard Corps Brigadier General Sardar Hossein Salami who was speaking for a group of clerics at Qom Seminary reiterated, 'From any point that we would be threatened, we would be able to destroy that point limitlessly militarily.'
He further stressed, 'From the naval point of the view, too, our forces are fully competent over them from the land and the air, in addition to the sea.'
Salami reiterated, 'After the years of the sacred defense (against Saddam's usurper forces), our entire defense theories have been based on possibility of encountering the worst possible scenarios, and therefore, we are ready for encountering any regional of ultra-regional threats.'
The deputy IRGC chief said, 'Israel is seeing itself entangled between death and life; how then can it threaten a power like Iran?'
Salami added, 'The Islamic Republic of Iran is so strong and powerful today, that as the Supreme Leader has rightly stated, can decisively respond to any possible threat.'
The top military commander referring to the present day conditions of the US forces in the region, arguing, 'The United States has today lost its model role both economically and politically, attending a political funeral in the region for one of its allies with the passage of each new day, accompanying another dictator to the graveyard of history.'
He reiterated, 'The United States is no longer a political pioneer and even the shaky regimes do not feel secure under their supportive umbrella. Today the US is not any longer reliable ally for regimes like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, etc.'
Brigadier General Salami said, 'The Usurper racist Zionist regime which has once the dream of capturing from the Euphrates to the Nile, has after the defeats in the 33 Day War with Hezbollah and the 22 Day War in Gaza lost all its self-claimed exemplary might, having become so shaky.'
He added, 'The status of this regime is such that they threaten the Islamic Republic of Iran, but when it refers to its historic memory and the influence of that forged regime, it takes back its uttered words.'
Salami reiterated, 'We have been entangled with the US policies at all scenes, and today the Islamic system is stronger than ever before, able to launch thousands of missile against any point from which we would be threatened.'
