TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said the country is preparing an official letter on the IAEA recent report to be sent to international bodies and the nuclear officials of different countries.
He added, “We are in contact with the international Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) so that the situation would not worsen more.”
As to Iran’s interaction with the IAEA after the release of the recent report on Iranian nuclear issue, Salehi noted, “What the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano did was not just and calculated and I believe it was based on a hasty policy. It was due to western countries’ pressures and the IAEA recent action damaged the validity of the agency."
As to Amano’s recent report, Salehi said, "Amano claimed he enjoys documents on Iran’s nuclear drive to release and he did it, but who believed it? What happened by releasing the documents? We have already offered 117 pages on the documents and we are preparing an analytical letter and a logical response in this regard to send to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Chief Fereydoon Abbasi's counterparts in the world and also to relevant international bodies.”
He added, “We will not act hastily and we are holding talks with Russia on settlement of the nuclear issue.”
He also noted, “In case of changes in some articles of the draft prepared by Saudi Arabia and the US on terrorism, we would sign it as well."
