TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian ambassador to Moscow Reza Sajjadi said Russians have found out that western countries do not follow an honest approach.
As to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano’s recent report claiming there are possible military aspects in Iranian nuclear drive, Sajjadi said, “The U.S. and western countries' approach toward Iran’s nuclear issue is so illogical and hasty that even Russians have figured out that their behavior is not acceptable and do not aim at settling Iran’s nuclear issue, but there is a political objective behind the report and it aims at taking revenge. It led to Russia's strong position against western countries and particularly the U.S.”
“Russians have received wrong information on Iran’s nuclear issue from western countries since it relied a great deal on them and consequently doubted about our legal and peaceful actions. We have recently created good interaction with Russia and let them know that we are searching for a solution. They have also realized that western countries are not truthful in their approaches,” Sajjadi told ISNA.
Iranian envy added, “Internal and external pressures have forced western countries to act hastily to find a quick solution.”
As to Iran-Russia mutual relations, Sajjadi said, “Regional developments and mutual issues would be discussed in Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov's visit to Tehran.”
