Supreme Leader: US anti-Iran scenario aims to cover own terror

Tehran, Nov 2, 2011, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that the US fabricated anti-Iran scenario to cover up its own terror campaign against Iran and the Middle East.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with thousands enthusiastic university students on the eve of the 32nd anniversary of the takeover of the US embassy in Tehran dubbed “The Den of Spies”.

'The US is behind all plots and terrors in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Middle East. Iran has provided tangible and unquestionable documents and evidences to prove that the US administration had been accomplice in terrorist crimes in Iran and the entire region.'

The brave Iranian nation could successfully overcome all challenges with success in the past 32 years and they will pave the same path in the future, said the Supreme Leader.

The Supreme Leader said that the late Imam Khomeini with reliance upon Islam and nation’s support could bring the US to its knees and the then US leaders were disgraced by the pious Iranian youth.

November 4 symbolizes the bravery and courage of the youth against the hegemony of America because taking over the den of spies challenged the US imperialism, said Ayatollah Khamenei.

The enemies are concerned about promotion of Islamic Revolution and its political thoughts, said the Supreme Leader adding that the US government masterminded a shameful and irrational scenario to accuse Iran in order to overshadow the current waves of widespread crisis 'Occupy Wall Street' movement.

'They try to put the blame on the most noble forces in the Islamic Republic of Iran while they themselves have been behind the curtain of terror in Iran and are accomplice in the biggest terrorist operations in the world,' the Supreme Leader citing documentary evidences available in Iran.

There are about one hundred undisputable documents which proves the role of US in masterminding terrors in Iran as well as the entire region, revelation of such documents will defame the US, the so-called advocate of human rights and campaign against terrorism before world public opinion, said Ayatollah Khamenei.

'The US has been defeated in Afghanistan, Iraq as well as north of African and has no option except to leave those regions.'

The Americans are weak to the extent that they could not keep their puppets in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya, underlined Ayatollah Khamenei.

Citing the process of the Islamic Awakening in the region, the Supreme Leader said that the world clearly observed the hypocrisy of the US and the west in dealing with developments in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya.

The protests of people in the US and 80 other countries in the world against capitalism in the west indicated that they might control and suppress their nations but can not respond to their grievances, said Ayatollah Khamenei.

All should understand that campaign against global Pharaoh arrogance under the banner of Islam and leading of Iranian nation will continue until complete annihilation of global arrogance, said the Supreme Leader.

The Islamic Republic of Iran plays pivotal role in regional and global developments, said the Supreme Leader adding that to the same reasons the enemies try to disappoint the country’s youth and officials, but to no avail.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution also called on the nation to exercise vigilance to thwart the enemies’ plots.

They should know that the Iranian youth, intellectuals and scientists have successfully overcome the imposed sanctions against the country as the country’s potentials and capabilities in science and industry sectors have increased several times, said the Supreme Leader.

There is no doubt that the brave Iranian nation will give a crushing response to the enemies as before in case of any malignant attempt, said Ayatollah Khamenei.

In November 1979 after the triumph of the Islamic Revolution that toppled a US-backed monarchy, Iranian university students seized the US embassy in protest at engineering a military coup to topple the fledgling revolutionary government in Tehran.
