TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Iran in an opposition letter has called for the US officials to offer apology to the country.
Mehmanparast confirmed that Iran has sent an opposition letter to the US officials after they accused Iran of plotting to assassinate Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington.
As to Iranian Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi's recent visit to Qatar and Iraq, Mehmanparast said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran opposes some issues inside regional countries particularly the interferences of foreign states. Iran believes meddling would not help maintaining stability inside the region.”
“We believe consultation among regional countries would be effective in resolving the current problems. Many foreign countries are trying to create distance amongst regional countries to serve the interests of Zionist regime. They are trying to damage our cooperation with our neighbors,” Mehmanparast told ISNA.
