TEHRAN (ISNA) - The Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Fereydoon Abbasi said sanctions have had no effect on Iran's peaceful nuclear work.
His remarks came after some western media claimed that sanctions against Iran have slowed down the process of enrichment work.
"Iran's nuclear activities continue well and based on the schedule," he said.
Abbasi added the organizations and companies affiliated to the AEOI are continuing their work and, "We will give some nuclear news to people in the near future."
Iran is under 4 rounds of the UN Security Council sanctions over its refusal to halt peaceful enrichment work. The sanctions mainly target the country's energy sector as well as insurance and shipping ndustry.

The West accuses Iran of enriching uranium, Iran denies the allegations and says it only seek peaceful use of nuclear energy for medical purposes and power generalization.
