TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said there is no longer any place for the US forces inside the region.
He outlined the US's new scenario against Iran and also its resistance on continuing fighting terrorism in the region and said, "The Arrogance led by the US is trying to create tension in different places in the region to pave the way for its presence in that district."
"There was no excuse better than battling terrorism in attacking Afghanistan and Iraq and the US forces have remained in the two countries over 10 years," he said.
Mehmanparast also referred to the US scenario which accused Iran of plotting to assassinate Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington and said, "The US tries to divert the world's public opinion from its internal situation, take control of the wave of Islamic awakening in North Africa and Middle East which toppled rulers of US allies."
The US has claimed that Iran plotted to assassinate Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington, but Iran has called the claim "baseless."
