TEHRAN (ISNA) - The Commander of Iranian Army Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said Tuesday Iranian borderlines are highly secure.

Pourdastan said, "Iranian borderlines enjoy high security and the country is known as one of the most secured countries in the region."

He added, “Iranian armed forces have gained significant experiences and capabilities through the first and second wars which came in Persian Gulf and also the 8-year war imposed against Iran.”

“Iranian armed forces possess weapons with a high technology which have doubled the country’s military might," he noted.

As to Iranian armed forces' readiness to confront cyber wars, he said, “Cyber threats can bring success to enemies. Iran’s armed and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces have prepared specific units in this regard and even different offensive operations have been designed to be used in proper time.”

“Cross-regional forces have entered the Middle East with two objectives of controlling regional energy sources and hampering regional Islamic awakening," Pourdastan said referring to presence of international forces in Middle East.

He went on to say, “If we take a look at cross-regional forces around our country, we would understand they are not in a position to stand against us since the situation of the US and cross-regional forces in Middle East region is unstable and inappropriate.”

As to "Occupy Wall Street" crisis in the US, he said, “Economic problems in the country have led to a strange confusion for the US officials so American politicians have tried to put the blame on others to get freed from the crisis.”
