TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said Saudi Arabian officials should be cautious about the West's scenario.
As to any possible legal measure to be taken by Iran to confront the West's smear campaign, Salehi said, “Arab officials should be cautious. They know that recent scenario was just designed to create split and dispute amongst the regional countries for sure and I hope Saudi authorities would pay heed to the issue and be more vigilant.”
“We will patiently take measures over the US's recent allegation which accused Iran of plotting to assassinate Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington Adel al-Jubeir in. Iran is ready to examine any issue disturbing the public opinion even if it is fabricated,” Salehi told ISNA.
He added, “We have called on the US officials to hand their information on the arrested men (allegedly linked to the issue) so that we can examine their history. Iran is committed to its international commitments and would defend its rights under the framework of international conventions and regulations.”
Salehi continued, “Saudi officials should be careful not to fall into a trap that cannot be rescued later.”
As to the production of 20 percent enriched uranium fuel, he said, “Iran had produced 70 kg of 20 percent enriched fuel until the last month.”
