Iran rejects accusation of plotting to assassinate Saudi envoy

Tehran, Oct 12, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mihman-parast called false claim of plotting to assassinate Saudi ambassador to Washington a 'prefabricated scenario'.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Tuesday, Mihman-parast, reacting to the baseless claim of the US officials on Iran's participation in plotting terrorist acts in the US soil, by condemning such acts said that such worn out tricks which are upon old and hostile policies of the US and the Zionist regime is a comic show in direction of making special scenarios with the aim of sowing discord.
He stressed that designers of such fake scenarios aim to create disunity and help the Zionist regime to get out of its current isolation.
The spokesman underlined that Islamic Republic of Iran is a system upon morality and Islamic values and has always warned about enemies' conspiracy in the region and such repetitive scenarios are put forward when the US policy inside the USA and in the region is being seriously ineffective and facing wide protests inside and outside the United States.
He concluded that Iran and Saudi Arabia ties are upon mutual respect and such false claims would not have any effect on public opinions in this area.
