Iran’s peacekeeping forces ready to go on missions at UN request

Tehran, Oct 5, IRNA -- Iranian peacekeeping forces are ready to be sent on different peacekeeping missions based on a request made by the United Nations, Commander of Army’s Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan said Wednesday.
Speaking to IRNA, the commander said that the well-trained and skilled peacekeeping forces would be sent to any international missions where which is doomed necessary by the UN.
The commander added that the forces were familiar with three English, Arabic and French languages and have accomplished various courses in combat and guerrila warfare.
Pourdastan hoped that Iranian peacekeepers would start their first mission in a near future.
He added that due arrangements were made by Iran’s Foreign Ministry to facilitate dispatch of Iranian peacekeeping forces to foreign missions.
