Iran says West should blacklist PJAK terrorist group

TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called for the West to blacklist PJAK terrorist group.
The remarks came in a meeting between Iranian foreign ministers and his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle on the sidelines of the 66th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday where the two sides discussed different issues including mutual relations, regional and international developments.
Salehi called on western countries and Germany to blacklist PJAK terrorist group and ban its activities.
Referring to Tehran-Berlin relation and the ties between Iran and European Union, Salehi pointed out, “Western countries should follow cooperation and interactive policy and strategy toward Iran instead of the strategy of confrontation.”
Guido Westerwelle on his part expressed satisfaction on the chance of meeting with Iran’s foreign minister and stressed the continuation of talks between the two countries.
As to Iran's nuclear issue, Westerwelle expressed hope the situation would lead to progression in nuclear issue.
