Two freed US nationals leave Tehran for Muscat

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA -- Two US nationals jailed for spying charges in Iran and released on bail Wednesday, left Tehran for Omani capital city of Muscat aboard a plane on their way home.
The Two, who were released on bail, were handed over to an Omani delegation in Tehran on Wednesday.
There is no direct flight between Iran and the US.
According to the Iranian Judiciary, branch 36 of the Tehran Province Appeals Court agreed to the transformation of prison term verdicts of the two Americans to 5-billion-rials bail each.
The two Americans were sentenced to a total of 16 years in jail on a verdict by the primary court.
Three American nationals, Sarah Shourd, Shane Bauer and Joshua Fattal were arrested in July 2009 for illegal entry into the Iranian soil.
They were later convicted on spying charges.
Shourd was released in September 2010 on a 5-billion-rials bail and returned to the US. Sarah Shourd's case is still open at the court of justice.
