IRGC calls for clarification of PEJAK unilateral truce offer

Tehran, September 6, IRNA -- Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) ground forces in a statement on Tuesday called on Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government to clarify the unilateral truce offer by PEJAK (Free Life Party of Kurdistan).

According to IRGC's public relations department, following heavy losses inflicted by the Iranian military forces on the compounds and personnel of PEJAK in western borders, the disappointed terrorist group was forced to make a unilateral truce offer on August 26.

Following the request, IRGC ground force has called on Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government which has mediated between the two sides to give more explanations on the nature of the offer made by the terrorist group as soon as possible.

There is no doubt that IRGC ground force will declare its stands in due time, said the statement.

The statement called for restoration of security to border lines and strongly urged the members of PEJAK terrorist group to leave the region immediately.
