TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran said on Tuesday it has not received Russian "step-by-step approach" officially yet.
"We have not received a complete and official plan offered by Russia for Iran's nuclear issue," said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast.
"Secretary of Russian National Security Council's travel to Iran is in line with maturing long-term cooperation and it is due to significance of the two sides," he told reporters in his weekly press conference as asked about any link between the trip of Secretary of Russian National Security Council Nikolai Patrushev to Iran and Tehran's nuclear plan.
He added Iran and Russia would confer on Middle Eastern and North African matters as well as international topics.
Also regarding possible sanctions on Iran's Central Bank by the US, he said, "sanctions which have been pursued by Americans against Iran over last 33 years have not brought considerable results for them. The measure seeks to press Iran but it fails to overshadow Iran's growth. We have learned to change threats to opportunities and remove restrictions."
He continued the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to Moscow -- coincided with Patrushev's trip to Iran -- aims to discuss cooperation in bilateral and international scene.
Mehmanparast meanwhile rejected reports on arrest of PKK number two Murat Karayilan by Iran.
