Iranian navy saves Malta's ship in high seas

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian navy saved a ship named "Dandle" and attacked by pirates while carrying flag of Malta.
The container-carrying ship was saved by the 14th dispatched navy flotilla of the Islamic Republic of Iran placed in high seas.
The ship was moving towards coasts of the Islamic Republic of Iran when it was raided by four ultra-speed boats belonging to pirates off the eastern coast of Oman.
The pirates were made to flee following vigilance and reaction of the Iranian navy flotilla.
Iranian navy has strengthened its presence in north of Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden in a bid to confront piracy.
This was the 10th confrontation of Iranian navy against Somali pirates since mid March and in all cases the attacked ships remained safe and sound and continued to move.
