TEHRAN (ISNA)-The Head of Iranian nuclear safety system center Naser Rastkhah said the country's Bushehr nuclear plant is in safe and secure condition.
"Iran has regarded new security measures for Bushehr nuclear plant despite the fact that international safety standards have been predicted for Bushehr nuclear facility," he said on Friday.
"Bushehr nuclear facility is different from those in Russia, since it obeys standards of both Russia and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and we have frequently called for Russia to certify safety of the nuclear power plant."
He also added the country is against providing atomic reactors for developing countries which lack scientific and nuclear research capability.
Rastkhah then continued Iran holds infrastructures to operate nuclear power plants.
Rastkhah meanwhile moved to the project of international fusion and said, "Iran pursues the project of ITER (originally the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor). Moreover, we have related domestic plans in the country."
