Tehran welcomes return of 5+1 to negotiation table

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, May 10, IRNA -- Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili said Iran welcomed return of 5+1 countries to the negotiation table.

In a letter to the high representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy Catherine Ashton, he welcomed the Union’s return to talks based on the common points the two sides shared.

He said respecting rights of nations and avoiding any kind of pressures are the two pivots of any cooperation.

Jalili further stressed in his letter that the will of the nations will replace the hegemonic relations in the global system.

The SNSC chief also said that the developments during the past few months proved that the package offered by Iran three years ago was based on a correct interpretation of realities.
