MP: Libyan people angered by brutal carnage

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Boroujerd, Feb 24, IRNA -- Head of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Thursday that merciless carnage of protestors in Libya would make people much more infuriated.

Speaking to reporters, he said the revolution of people in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya should not be regarded as an overnight phenomenon but rather they have rootts in dictatorship.

Dictators in the region have no option but to accept formation of democratic systems in their own countries, he said.

The Americans have invested very much in regional countries such as Libya and that is why they have kept mum and adopted a double standard policy, but they will finally have to change their policy, he said.

The Americans are loosing their footholds in the region which proves that they are on the verge of collapse and total annihilation, he said.
