Iran, self-sufficient in defense radar manufacture: IRGC

Tehran, Feb 19, IRNA -- Deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps for industrial research, Brigadier General Abolfazl Salehnejad, said on Saturday that Iran has become self-sufficient in manufacture of different kinds of radar systems for air defense.
'Due to serious investment and planning carried out after the end of the Iraqi- imposed war on Iran, Iran is presently in favorable defense conditions so that we have the first say in many defense areas,' he added.
Brigadier General Salehnejad noted that IRGC researchers have accomplished many important things in manufacture of defense equipment.
'IRGC researchers have succeeded in manufacture of different kinds of drones and high-precision missiles. The products were used in many operational and defense situations,' he added.
