Honesty to bring successful talks with G5+1: President

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Bushehr, Feb 16, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here on Wednesday that talks with the G5+1 will have positive outcomes if this group behaves in an honest way.

President Ahmadinejad made the remarks while addressing the provincial gathering in the southern Iranian province of Bushehr, saying that Iran is ready to hold negotiations on the basis of respect and justice.

Referring to Iran's absolute right to gain peaceful nuclear energy, Ahmadinejad said none of the Iranians will pull out from his/her nuclear rights.

Pointing to the recent talks between Iranian officials and the G5+1 in Istanbul, Turkey, Iran's President said: 'We didn't expect that the all issues to be solved in Istanbul...because those issues have been complicated.'

The G5+1 includes Britain, the United States, France, China and Russia plus Germany.

President Ahmadinejad departed Theran for Bushehr to pay his 86th provincial tour to the Iranian cities since he took office in 2005.

During this provincial tour, Ahmadinejad is due to meet with families of martyrs and war veterans and receive managers and elites in that province.

The Iranian President made the initiative to visit the country's provinces soon after he took office for the first time in 2005.

By his initiative, Ahmadinejad aims at getting familiar with people's problems and making government closer to the people.
