'West should come to terms with Iran's progress': President
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 11, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday that the West has to come to terms with the Iranian nation in the nuclear technology field because its previous attempts to prevent Iran from making scientific progress have failed.
President Ahmadinejad made the remark while addressing a huge crowd of people gathered in Tehran’s Azadi Square to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of 1979 Islamic Revolution.
“Cooperate with the Iranian nation instead of choosing the confrontation option,” he added.
In another part of his speech, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad pointed to the scientific progress achieved in different scientific fields in Iran.
“Today the world knows that the Iranian scientists have access to nuclear fuel cycle technology despite the fact that the global arrogance (imperialist powers) tried to prevent Iran from culminating in the nuclear science,” the president added.
