Pace of Iran's progress in aerospace areas astonishing: defense min
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA -- Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said Iran was one of few world countries which designed and carried out its own independent aerospace programs. He also said the pace of Iran’s progress in the aerospace areas was quite astonishing.
Talking during a ceremony to unveil the country’s latest achievements in aerospace areas, he said much of the capabilities the Iranian experts have managed to gain only in few years would have taken a very long time if they were to wait for the foreign countries for them.
He said it was quite possible that the foreigners declined from providing such capabilities to Iranian experts.
The minister said now those who were disinclined to cooperate with Iran in aerospace areas are witnessing that Iranian experts managed to carry out the same projects in just six months.
Noting that Iran entered the realm of aerospace activities only two years ago, he stated that by now the Iranian experts had much to say in these areas.
