Bagheri: Scientists' assassination sign of enemies' desperation

Damascus, Dec 27, IRNA -- A senior Iranian official said here on Monday that assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists shows enemies' desperation.

Addressing a press conference, Deputy Secretary of Supreme National Security Council of Iran for Foreign Policy and International Security Affairs, Ali Bagheri said having seen the failure of their plots against Iran's peaceful nuclear progra, the enemies resorted to terrorist acts.

He added that general question which should be answered is what's the connection between sanction documents containing names of Iranian scientists, and recent assassinations.

He declared, 'What has happened is that terrorists have turned into executors of the UN Security Council's resolutions.'

Elsewhere in his remarks, Bagheri said public opinion is well aware of the contradictory claims of the West that Iran supports resistance groups and its attempts to attribute terrorist acts to the country.

Regional nations are wandering who have equipped the Zionist regime with nuclear arms, he added.
