Ministry arrests 8 masterminding Dec. 15 bombing in Chabahar

Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA -- Intelligence Ministry says eight terrorists, involved in the December 15 terrorist bombing in southeastern city of Chabahar, were arrested on Thursday by the ministry officials.
An informed source at the Intelligence Ministry said the terrorists were rounded up in the cities of Chabahar, Nikshahr and Kenrak in southeastern Sistan-Balouchestan Province.
Based on information available, such operations are carried out by the intelligence services that try to fan insecurity and deter remarkable economic progress of the region.
The Ministry also says two more terrorists, planning to detonate bombs in southern and eastern parts of the country, were identified. One of whom was killed in clashes with the Intelligence Ministry officials, while the other one was arrested as he tried to leave the country, it added.
The Wednesday terrorist bombing in Chabahar either killed or injured about 130 Iranian Shiites and Sunnis, including several women and Children.
Funeral procession for 34 of the victims, seven of whom being Sunnis, will be held in Chabahar on Friday.
