President: Iran ready for nuclear cooperation with G5+1

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Arak, Markazi Prov, Dec 8, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday that Iran is ready for nuclear cooperation with G5+1.

“Given the existing circumstances, Iran is ready to embark on nuclear cooperation with G5+1 to produce nuclear materials, share experiences and help solve global problems,” said the President.

He made the remarks in his address to the provincial university students here where he arrived on Tuesday as part of the third round of his provincial tours of the Iranian cities.

President Ahmadinejad stressed that Iran would by no means give up its nuclear rights on having nuclear fuel cycle, producing upto 20-percent enriched uranium and constructing more nuclear power plants.

Noting that the country needed 20 nuclear power plants to meet its power generation demands, the President invited Western states to cooperate with Iran for building further nuclear power plants for the country.

He made it clear that in case of lack of Western states' cooperation “the Iranian youth would themselves build all of the required power plants in the near future.”
