Iran-G5 plus 1 talks must be based on cooperation: Jalili
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Geneva, Dec 7, IRNA -- Talks between Iran and the G5 + 1 (China, Russia, US, France, Britain and Germany) must be conducted based on cooperation not pressure, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili told IRNA here Tuesday.
The talks could only be held in a cooperative spirit on issues of common interest, Jalili stressed.
'We have strongly emphasized that we won't accept any talks which are based on pressure,' he added.
Jalili reiterated Iran's rights were non-negotiable and could not be part of the agenda.
Asked about the third round of talks in Geneva, Jalili said we should wait and see what would be the approach of the other side.
He made it clear that Tehran would remain firm on its stance.
